Actor, entertainer, musician, film and television producer, fashion designer, entrepreneur and humanitarian Jennifer Lopez has created one of the most successful and well-known brands in entertainment. With an unmatched global appeal, her “Dance Again” world tour has sold more than one million tickets, her films have brought in more than $1.4 billion in worldwide box office receipts and her fragrances have become the most successful celebrity line in the world with sales exceeding $2 billion.
Lopez made her feature film debut in the highly acclaimed “Mi Familia,” which garnered her an Independent Spirit Award nomination. In the 1997 feature film “Selena,” she earned widespread acclaim, a Golden Globe Award nomination and an ALMA Award for her portrayal of the Latin music sensation. Lopez has had five films open at No. 1, which include “Maid in Manhattan,” “Monster in Law,” “Anaconda,” “The Cell” and “Antz.” Other film credits include “Shall We Dance,” “Enough,” “Out of Sight,” “Angel Eyes,” “Parker,” “An Unfinished Life,” “Money Train,” “Jack,” “Blood and Wine” and “El Cantante.” She will next be seen in the thriller “Boy Next Door,” which she also produced, and “Lila and Eve,” opposite Viola Davis.
Since Lopez’s first album, “On the 6,” debuted in 1999, she has been transforming the global music scene and has sold more than 75 million records worldwide. She has had 16 Top 10 hit songs and three No. 1 albums. Her music achievements include winning three American Music Awards, three ASCAP Pop Music Awards, eight Billboard Latin Music Awards and two MTV Video Music Awards. She also became the first woman to receive the lifetime achievement Icon Award at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, for outstanding contribution to pop music. Lopez joined the judges’ panel of AMERICAN IDOL in 2010 and helped make it the most-watched U.S. television series for two years in a row. She also was named World’s Most Beautiful Woman by People magazine in 2011.

Nuyorican Productions is Lopez’s motion picture and television production company, which has produced such films as “El Cantante” and “Bordertown.” Nuyorican has branched into scripted and unscripted television, producing the critically acclaimed, award-winning hit cable series “The Fosters.” In non-scripted programming, Nuyorican’s credits include the bilingual Latin-American talent-show “Q VIVA!” for both FOX and Univision, and “House of Joy” and “A Step Away” for the NUVO network, the English-language cable channel for which Lopez is the Chief Creative Officer.
In 2002, Lopez joined forces with the international beauty company, Coty, to release “Glow by J. Lo.” The fragrance broke sales records and continues to be one of the most popular scents sold in the world today. Since that time, Lopez has released multiple fragrance lines, including “Love & Glamour,” “Still,” “Live,” “Glowing” and “JLove,” generating nearly $2 billion in retail sales in 25 markets worldwide. Lopez’s 21st fragrance, “Glowing Goddess,” was recently made available exclusively at Kohl’s as part of the “Jennifer Lopez Collection,” an affordable line of fashionable clothing, home goods and accessories for the modern woman.
Her passion and commitment to making a difference in the world is highlighted through her work with children via The Lopez Family Foundation, a not-for-profit organization she started with her sister, Lynda. The Lopez Family Foundation is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of women and children and increasing the level of medical care available to them. The organization opened its first telemedicine center in Puerto Rico in 2010 and seven new centers in Panama last year. The foundation also recently opened the Center for a Healthy Childhood, in partnership with the Montefiore Medical Center, which aims to promote healthy eating, exercise and improve outcomes and access to care for women, children and families in the Bronx.
